Stiltskins Bar and Restaurant

We are pleased to report that on Friday 7th December, at 6pm sharp, Stiltskins Bar and Restaurant was launched.

For those of you that know Carvynick Country Club, would know that regrettably our previous tenant in our 17th Century Restaurant has been holding the resort to ransom over the tenancy of our building. However, following many court cases, we finally gained possession of our Restaurant once again.

For those of you that enjoy food, we can assure you that Stiltskins Bar and Restaurant is fantastic, and already has reviews on tripadvisor that are 100% positive.

The Restaurant has had a refurbishment and a brand new state of the art kitchen, a brand new crew with two of the top chefs in Cornwall working side by side. From January 1st, we have one of Devon finest Maître d'.

Stiltskins Bar and Restaurant serves high quality food at sensible prices, and has a high class Gastro Pub Menu with a Twist. Stiltskins Bar and Restaurant has a really funky Tapas menu served Tuesday to Friday alongside other menus including the best Steaks in the West; and Sunday's have been reserved for what is possibly the best Sunday Lunch available is the South West. For the little ones we have Stiltskins Plates of Gold to keep them amused while Mum and Dad browse the fantastic wine list.

Happy Birthday to Us, Happy Birthday to Us...!

On 11/11/2011, Itchy Feet relocated from their previous base outside of Newquay in Cornwall, to Brixworth in Northampton.

How quick the days have gone by. We cannot believe that is it one year ago that our motorhomes arrived at Brixworth, and the flurry of activity that followed with huge arctic’s arriving and carrying the entire contents of our workshops from the South West etc. We now recall the weeks ahead that the entire team worked 16 hours per day to find all the bits that were packed away in boxes for the journey north.

12 Months on, our workshops are now probably the most impressive and modern of any motorhome dealer within the UK. Our accessories shop, which has spent the past 12 months in boxes, is now up and running with the items well presented on our multi-coloured racking! Our 30,000sq ft showrooms are now settling nicely and display approximately 20 motorhomes at any one time. Our large exterior display area can accommodate another 30 motorhomes. This making Brixworth probably the largest American motorhome showroom within the UK.

Our home in Cornwall has now been completely refurbished, our sales pitches and workshops have all been altered and it is hoped that by March 2013, Itchy Feet will re-open our Newquay sales area and workshops once again. This enabling us to work from two locations within the UK and we will undoubtedly boast the largest American and European Dealership within Europe. It is also hoped that a third location will act as a major service centre for us just south of Bristol. So along with our service centres in Newport in Wales, Cannock in Staffordshire, and Alloa in Scotland, we have the UK covered!

During 2012, Itchy Feet has formed a further partnership with Paul Sannen Motorhomes of Belgium and more stock will be supplied into Belgium from 2013. Itchy Feet will also have a strong holding in a new base in Sweden and negotiations are presently on-going for a further outlet in France. Who would have thought that a simple move to motorsport valley in Northampton would have brought the opportunities from various people all over the world to the door step of Itchy Feet!

The entire team at Itchy Feet are humbled by the trust and faith that has been in placed in the team and we all look forward to a healthy and prosperous 2013.

A Summer with Itchy Feet

The season began early for Itchy Feet with a massive relocation to Northampton last November. We have been absolutely overwhelmed with our customer’s response to the move, including a bumper year on sales and more rental enquiries and subsequently bookings then we thought possible for our first year based in the midlands.

Living in Motorsport Valley, we have fantastic access to most racing circuits, and we feel this has been reflected in our prices. To which, Michael and the team have been delivering motorhomes to almost all over the Country and deep into Europe. We have been following the MINI Challenge with Lohen; Ginetta GT Supercup with Fergus Walkinshaw; and British Super Bikes and British Touring Car Championship. We have visited Silverstone for the Formula 1 and Silverstone Classic; Le Mans for Le Mans 24hr and Le Mans Classic; Goodwood for the Revival and Festival of Speed; London for concerts including Cover Drive, The Saturdays, Alexandra Burke and Scouting for Girls; Bestival on the Isle of White and V-Fest at Chelmsford; back home to Cornwall for the Royal Cornwall Show; the Pembrokeshire County Show; and a few Equestrian Events mostly based in the Midlands.

March Update

With one of the busiest starts to the year to date, our decision to move to Brixworth, Northampton has been confirmed.

Throughout January, deposits were taken on six motorhomes, and four in February. We have been amazed with the amount of prospective customers visiting our showroom on what is usually a quieter time of the year; with the fantastic feedback continuing towards our move, our positivity and enthusiasm towards the market grows everyday.

With our move to Northampton, our rental bookings are increasing everyday, once again establishing us as the leading motorhome rental centre.

Our Workshops have been very busy with repairs, services and MOT's; and so we continue to ask our customers to book their vehicles as early as possible when work is due.

We held a fantastic Open Weekend in mid February and were overjoyed with the response gained. All in all, over the three days well over 150 couples visited our showrooms and all left with smiling faces.
Unfortunately the weather conditions halted our plans for an Itchy Feet Style party on the Saturday night, but we can assure all customers who booked for the night that it will go ahead later in the year.

Itchy Feet Open Week

Firstly, we hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas.

In possibly what was the busiest week running up to the Festivities, Itchy Feet hit the ground running in our Open Week, held from Friday 16th to Friday 23rd December.
This has followed six weeks of long hours moving the Itchy Feet operation from Cornwall to Northampton and travelling, all in all, some 10,000 miles; we opened our doors to our new home in Brixworth, to which for many years has been the home of Mercedes High Performance Engines.

During the course of the week refreshments were available including those every time a winner Mince Pies. Unfortunately though, the majority of our team were scattered all over the country collecting some much needed stock during the week, so we made sure we had our own Christmas celebration at the end of the week.

We were absolutely amazed that over 100 couples visited us during the pre-Christmas week and the feedback received was fantastic. In fact a few couples made our Christmas week and effort well worth it, by saying how great it was to finally see a motorhome dealer putting some positivity back into the industry; so that said we made positivity and enthusiasm our 2012 New Year's Resolution.

Vehicles on display included the world exclusive 2008 Fleetwood Revolution which by far was our most admired RV for sale, 2008 Fleetwood Discovery, the all-new 2011 Tiffin Breeze, 2010 Damon Daybreak and the 2010 Lehel MAN TGL.

Our two new showrooms have been designed to show our motorhomes off in a truly unique style.

Itchy Feet on the Move

Well, there we are, first week down. We have been settling into Brixworth, Northampton well and a lot has changed to our new home since moving in on Friday 11th November 2011.

The Itchy Feet Team have not stopped, polishing coaches, flooring, building mezzanines for the workshops and chairs for the offices! There is still a lot of work to be done. Our second artic lorry arrived today to be unloaded, and we all have a busy weekend planned unpacking and organising.

The Motorhome Show Rooms are coming together, the feedback from some of our local customers, (who just couldn't wait) :) has been fantastic so far.

Our new home will bring the opportunities to expand our parts department, servicing workshops, as well as reducing travelling times of most of our customers.

One of the main reasons for our move is to vastly increase our position as the UK number one in American RV rental. Over the past two years Winnebago Direct has gone from strength to strength and we were finding it difficult to commit to the demand we have. We hope now to be able to offer a truly unbeatable service in this sector. We will have a further update on this in the coming weeks.
